Hey wine lovers! I am coming at you with part two if my Disney World Series! Today I am taking you to Epcot. Epcot is known as more of the “adult”centered theme park with their World Showcase. It is such a beautiful park. We visited during the Flower Garden Festival which was gorgeous.
We started right when the park opened and hit up a few of the more popular rides. We loved the test track, Soarin’ and Mission Space. Afterwards we made our way into the World Showcase.
We decided to start in Canada and move that way around the countries. We did not complete a “true” drink around the world where you have a drink in each country… we just didn’t need to! I decided to complete the World Showcase “Wine Walk.” Three countries participate and you get two samples of wine at each country. The wine walk started in France. I tasted a delicious Vouvray and a Pinot Noir. We enjoyed lunch at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, crossont sandwiches and a delicious macaroon. They are known for their amazing pastries! Later in the day we visited France again for a glass of Champagne;)
Next we made our way into Morocco and had sangria! I enjoyed the red while Zach enjoyed the white! We decided to sit for a bit and soak in the beautiful weather!
We made our way through some more countries and did a little shopping but stopped again in Italy for my next wine tasting. We spent a lot of time in Italy! The two wines I tasted were a Roma and Lambrusco. I really enjoyed the Roma! Later in the day we went back to Italy for dinner. We shared a salad and pizza with a bottle of Cianti at Via Napoli Ristoranti. It was almost like we were back in Italy!
Next was Germany! This was my final stop for my wine walk. I tasted two sweeter wines in Germany, Liebfraumilch and Spatlese. I decided to also get the mini cheese tray to accompany the wines. We had so much fun enjoying the wine, beer, and hanging out! Prost!
We continued through a few more countries but stopped in Mexico for some margaritas! I went with the La Cava Avocado. It was a frozen marg with Tequila, Melon Liqueur, Avocado, Agave Nectar, Lime Juice and a Salt Rim. Zach enjoyed the Jalapeno marg. It was on the rocks with Tequila, muddled Jalapeños and Cucumbers with Lime Juice, Agave Nectar and a Salt Rim. Both were delicious, DANGEROUS and refreshing.
The night show, Illuminations was fantastic. We got to watch the show with the rest of our Chianti! It was a BEAUTIFUL and relaxing way to end the day compared to some of our other busier Disney days!
There you have it! A day at Epcot! We had so much fun and we can’t wait to go back! This was definitely our favorite park! There are so many amazing drinks and food!
