Hellooooo Friday, I have missed you! This week we are taking it back to Richmond. Like I had mentioned before, we love to pair dinner with a fun activity around town. This week I am featuring a local pool room and an amazing tiki bar restaurant!
Little Nickel – Little Nickel is one of our favorite spots. Its a lively tiki bar with amazing signature cocktails and food but with a neighborhood restaurant feel. I absolutely love the decor; it is a mix of mid-centry modern with tropical flare. Think vacation, without having to travel! We absolutely love sitting at the bar to watch all the fun cocktails being made. The Hawaiian Nachos are to die for and they will definitely fill you up before you even order a meal but are so worth it. I love their entree salads as well as their Hawaiian Pork Bowl, their Lamb Shank Tacos, and the Lamb Cheesesteak sandwich. This would be a great place to get a cocktail and an app before going to dinner elsewhere or enjoy everything right there 😉 Seating can be at a premium on busy nights, but they just added a covered patio section. Can’t wait to try it out when the weather gets warmer!
Greenleaf’s Pool Room – This a really cool spot downtown. Whenever my parents come to visit we make a trip to Greenleaf’s Pool Room. My parents are big into shooting pool so this is a awesome place. You play by the hour and can order food and drinks. Their kitchen serves modern takes on classic diner type fare. They offer a wide variety of classic cocktails as well as local craft brews. This place has a 21+ policy after 6pm everyday and is open late for a chill and relaxing game of pool. Located attached to the former Hotel John Marshall, this spot, despite being updated and modernized, still has lots of old fashioned flare that anyone would appreciate.
